Offices are a new focus for us because, with the recent changes in planning legislation in September 2020, offices now fall under use class E, alongside Gyms and Fitness Studios, day nurseries, medical units, and other units within the former D1/D2 market. This shift has resulted in a growing availability of commercial properties that were previously designated for office use, now suitable for a range of purposes within the former D1/D2 market. For instance, offices with car parks can now be transformed into ideal day nursery spaces, while offices located on high streets present excellent opportunities for fitness or medical establishments. Similarly, there may be medical or fitness properties that would be a fantastic fit for office use.
